You don't have respect!

A wonderful Sunday morning. "This is the day of my breakthrough" "Amen!"
We all sit in the bus that is to take us to our breakthrough venue that day. A wonderful man had been kind enough to provide a bus to take everyone to church without them having to    pay anything.
The past weeks, a middle aged man who had/still drank too much, causing him to look so old, sat by the 'window'. He would open the 'window' and ask anyone who complained about cold, (usually everyone) if they were the ones next to the window. The previous week, yours truly, had complained about cold, asking that he reduced the opening. He said he couldn't understand how i can be cold when i am not next to the window.
On this beautiful morning of my breakthrough, someone had beat bros to the window seat, so, he was behind me. On our way to the breakthrough venue, he complained about window and demanded everyone close to the sides, opened their windows. Some ignored him, others said they were cold.
"Which kind tin be this na? Cold no dey fit catch me o, nai make i dey like dey by the window"
He turns to the girl by his side, and says to her, "I tell you before say come this side, you no gree. Open the window". The girl ignores him.
He complained until we arrived at the breakthrough venue. We all went in.
It was a powerful service and i had had my breakthrough, we reassembled to leave.
The sun was peeping out cautiously from behind the clouds by the time we arrived Oshodi . And it had reason to be cautious cos we were just on the Third Mainland Bridge when the rain started. Everyone immediately closed their windows. Baba, started again, this time with more venom.
"Which kind people i follow enter bus today, na? Na so last Sunday, one dey complain say cold dey catch am. E no fit stay house? Even when i dey house, i dey naked, naked finish! Weti be paynt abi boxers? I dey naked, on fan. If my wife complain, i dey tell am, go back yard, go set fine. Nonsense!"
He snickers. "Open the window, any body wey sick, make im buy medicine when im reach house!"
Yours truly had had enough. I said to him, "So, because you are in a bus, everyone has to return home sick? Oh, and you don't refer to me as 'one say'."
He exploded! "If cold dey catch you, stay your house! Even for my house i dey naked, dey open 'everything' make breeze touch me! What do you mean?!"
"Sir, we are not interested in your nakedness or your dealings with your wife, this is a church bus. Show some decorum!"
"Na only you cold dey catch for this bus o. E be like say you need man o!"
He laughs, heartily.
"Ahah?! Oga, this girl is trying to respect you now, Respect yourself. You are becoming a nuisance in this bus". A woman said from the front.
"No be only she cold dey catch, say we ignore you no mean say we wan open the window" A guy said.
All these time, yours truly was counting to ten and breathing out, thinking of my breakthrough that i just received, not wanting to lose it. I almost succeeded, but then he said something else.
"All these girls for this motor, man say open this window, ona no fit obey, nai make una never fit marry so!"
"Sir, am trying to respect you, please respect yourself".
" You don't have respect! You no get respect!"
"Because you don't deserve it. The little i have shown you is more than you deserve!"

The woman in front said to shut up, and i did. But another girl dealt him the falling blow.
"Some people no go get sense say na dia mate drop this bus for people to enter go church o. Them no know say dem go put themselves for corner. Dey talk of respect. Person wey want respect go talk of nakedness for wia im grandchildren mate dey? Yeye dey smell! No go think your life!"
It was the girl by his side. Suddenly, there was peace.
And the peace continued as Baba is now very quiet. I think he took her advice and took to thinking about his life.
